Last Day to Request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot is August 8th

JACKSONVILLE – Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland announces that the deadline for voters to request a vote-by-mail ballot to be mailed for the Primary is 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Vote-by-Mail refers to voting a ballot received by mail or picked up by, or for, a voter instead of going to the polls to vote during early voting or on Election Day. Any eligible voter can vote by mail. A voter can request a vote-by-mail ballot for a specific election or for all elections through the next General Election. After the next General Election, a voter will need to make the request again.

Notify our office immediately if your mailing address changes or if you plan to be out of town. We will send your ballot wherever you need it to be.

If you plan to mail your ballot back to us, we recommend returning your ballot as soon as possible. This gives you time to address and correct a missing or mismatching signature on your vote-by-mail ballot. You can also drop your ballot off in person at our office during office hours or at early voting sites during early voting hours. Your ballot must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, August 20th, for it to be counted.

If you have questions about the Primary, please visit our website at duvalelections.gov or call the Duval County Elections Office at 904-255-VOTE (8683).
