Access to Duval County Supervisor of Elections Website Fully Restored

JACKSONVILLE – Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland notifies voters that due to technical problems reported by a vendor, VR Systems, Inc., our website experienced temporary interruption and slowness on Election night. VR Systems immediately began troubleshooting and resolving the issue. Our website has now been fully restored.

The election night reporting of the unofficial results was not impacted, and there is no indication of malicious activity.

Based on the VR Systems analysis of last night’s event, they believe a security measure was at the root of the issues that their customers throughout Florida, including Duval County Supervisor of Elections, experienced. Late in the day, there was increase in traffic to VR Systems websites that put extraordinary stress on their system.

While VR Systems worked to fix the issue, we ensured the public could access election night reporting by posting on Facebook the link to a webpage providing access to unofficial election night results.

With our website as well as many other counties now fully restored, VR systems has advised us that they are working with external technical experts to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

If you have questions, please visit our website at duvalelections.gov or call the Duval County Elections Office at 904-255-VOTE (8683).
